THE ACHE THAT DIDN’T BREAK ME

Four years of silence
love poured into distance,
hope, blooming where it was never seen.

She crossed miles for a heart that stayed still,
laughed like sunlight,
burned like warmth unnoticed.

She gave until her soul went empty.
No tears fell.
Only migraines carried the weight of unspoken pain.

When love turned to ash
and dreams to dust,
something stronger remained.

She rose quietly,
stitched herself together,
learned to stand without being held.

Now she walks whole,
scarred, softened, awake.
The ache lived in her,
but it did not break her.
