Hearts and Hands; From Awareness to Action)
As part of our commitment to expanding mental health conversations beyond borders, we flew to Rwanda 🇷🇼 and had the privilege of connecting with students at African Leadership University’s ULove Family Club for a meaningful session on mental health and well-being. Bringing together individuals from diverse nationalities and backgrounds, the session focused on moving beyond awareness into meaningful action.
Through engaging discussions, mindfulness activities, and a role-play of a mental wellness framework developed by our Founder, Monisola G. Badiru, participants explored practical ways to prioritize their mental well-being and that of others. From moments of connection and learning to experiencing Rwanda’s warmth and culture, the session was a beautiful reminder that mental health conversations have the power to bring people together across borders.
World Mental Health Day 2024
The theme for WMHD 2024 was ‘It is time to prioritize mental health in the workplace.’ As a mental health initiative rooted in education, we couldn’t think of a better place to raise awareness than in a school where learning happens every day. And who plays a key role in schools? Teachers! For this reason, we hosted a stress management workshop for educators at a secondary school in Lagos, Nigeria, to emphasize the importance of prioritizing mental health in the workplace.
Tough n’ Rough; Conversations Over Brunch (Men’s Mental Health)
We hosted a special edition of Mind Musings Academy, bringing together nine men from different generations and life experiences for an intimate brunch focused on men’s mental health awareness. Held at Velvet and Vine in Lagos, Nigeria, the gathering created a safe space for fathers, sons, brothers, mentors, and friends to engage in honest conversations about the realities of manhood, vulnerability, and emotional well-being. Through meaningful dialogue and shared experiences, participants explored the importance of understanding and prioritizing men’s mental health

Illumination 2025
This was the first edition of our youth-led creative event, launched to raise awareness, inspire hope, and spark open conversations about mental health. Rooted in the belief that art has the power to heal, the initiative used an art exhibition to spread the message of light, hope, and recovery. It brought together young people, artists, and mental health advocates who are passionate about changing the narrative around mental health, especially in African communities where silence and stigma often persist
World Mental Health Day 2025
The theme for 2025 was Access to Services: Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies. It encouraged us to raise awareness, take action, and make mental health support accessible to everyone, particularly during times of crisis. Disasters and emergencies impact not only bodies and communities but also the mind. To mark the day, we visited Babcock University’s Wellness Centre to connect with both first responders and residents. We approached the conversations with curiosity and compassion, ready to listen and learn. Our goal was to spark honest dialogue and advocate for stronger mental health support for those affected by crises and the frontline workers who dedicate themselves to caring for others.
School Outreach (Inside Out: Bright Minds. Bold Futures)
We had the privilege of creating space for young minds to engage in meaningful conversations about mental health. Through interactive discussions and awareness activities, students learned about the importance of emotional well-being, challenged harmful stigmas, and were reminded that their mental health matters. It was a beautiful experience filled with curiosity, connection, and meaningful moments as we equipped young people with the knowledge and confidence to prioritize their well-being.
